- I'm From Wisconsin...a nice little city called Sheboygan. My last residence in the dairy state was in Oshkosh, where I find a lot of my closest friends. I got married to a wonderful man in April of 2008. We live near Fort Hood where he is stationed. Texas is okay, the weather is usually great, but my heart still stands in Wisconsin. Most likely once our life actually starts we will live in Boise, Idaho where my husband is from. Kids-not quite yet, but someday...3 or 4 who knows.

"Alperinisms"
So Like I said in one of my past blogs, Alperin says some crazy things sometimes...we all do...right? But sometimes the things that come out of that mans mouth is something else. He makes us all laugh and there really is never a dull moment around him. So in lieu of that I am now creating a blog just for Alperin and his "Alperinisms". I hope everyone can use these quotes someday for their benefit.
" I think what the Lt is saying is that we should turn this more into a recruitment tool..."
-Everyone else- "WHAT!!"
"Are those veneers...I mean they look like veneers."-Alperin's comment on when the commander said she paid a lot for her teeth.
"Hey look it's from Pee-Wee." Referring to the Holiday post card he received in the mail from Pee-Wee Herman himself.
"So I've been shredding these papers down here and I've come across some pretty classified stuff about these people...I now know these people's secrets...and you know what...they can't shred this (pointing to his forehead)...It's save as in here." -This is Alperin talking about when he was shredding some papers on our clean-up day and how he may have shredded the actual paper but they can't shred what he saw.
"Look, it even says what time I was born!" referring to his birth certificate.
"The new HBO Guide came yesterday...did you see it?"
"Well from now on I'm not going to say anything funny- on purpose." He said this after I told him that I was quoting him when he says something funny.
"I think if Sgt Risner and SSG Burrell were drunk enough..."(can't really repeat the rest for explicit reasons)
"It's great when the joke's not on you."
"Hey guys I think we should just stay here and..." (also another one of those that need to be bleeped out).
"Depeche Mode is the greatest band in the world, the loudest, and the biggest in the world."
Telling Sgt Risner where to find a date- "Target is a great place to pick up chicks!"
"How much does it cost to be cool?"
"I'm going to EO about that one!"
"As dense as a moon rock" -Sgt Risner on Alperin
"Lavaliere- that must be a French word."
"When in doubt, (comma) rationalize (period)
-"That's deep" -one of us commenting on the thought
-"Rationalizing has got me in trouble"-Sgt Risner's thoughts on Alperins quote.
"I forgot my favorite pair of underwear."-Referring to the day when we had some type of training that was going to be giving us a possible fright.
"I needed a bro after yesterday, a manzeer." Talking about the fact that his chest hurt so bad after the intense work-out we had the day before.
Sgt Taylor- "Every man has desires!"
Alperin- "No, I'm tired of (bleep), I'm worn down, I'm ready to move on."
"I'm the most sain person here."
1Lt Sarratt- "These BCG's keep you all away from me..." Alperin- " Honestly Sir, they attract me to you."
"I don't find this to be pink, it's more mauve." Referring to a pink, yes it was pink, folder that he was using.
"I did the demographics on the group last night. I'm trying to examine my behavior in the unit and I find that there are 9 soldiers in their 20's, 9 soldiers in their 40's, and I feel that my behavior is being influenced by the 20 year old group. And my plan is to get the 40 year old group to revolt against the 20 year olds." - then there was a debate on the numbers in the unit.
"Yesterday I had a successful day. I pulled out 3 nose hairs with my bare hands."
"Just be courteous and professional and you and I won't have any problems." This is the thing he said when I told him that I was going to be posting a blog of his quotes. So now I have to make sure that I have good intentions and that I am courteous and professional.
"You're a dichotomy of styles." -I've never even heard of that word.
"Staff Sergeant, I'm in CLS training, there is no time for complacency."
"I'm gunna put some gel in my hair...Oh wait, I forgot... I don't have any hair."
Alperin- "Don't forget the quote about the Kevlar."
Me- "What quote is that?"
Alperin- "You know that the kevlar makes you high, cuz it's like 9 pounds or something and so it makes you high."
